Blogger and military man Kirill Sazonov, who was invited by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrsky to a meeting with bloggers, assessed several possible scenarios that could occur after the talks between US President Donald Trump and Russian dictator Vladimir Putin. Among the options are a public "raid" on the Russian Federation or statements about non-existent successes.
He shared his options on the Telegram channel.
He believes that many people clearly have overstated expectations from Trump's conversation with Putin:
"Well, Donald promised successful negotiations, peace and everything else. Let me remind you - he promised to do this even before taking office, then within 24 hours, then within a week. But miracles do not happen. And Trump himself has already seen this. So let's look at things realistically."
Sazonov emphasizes that no quick decision will be made, because it simply does not exist.
"There was only one scenario that would suit both negotiators. This is the capitulation of Ukraine. Yes, it would suit them. And Mr. Donald even said that we "have no cards." Like many partners in 2022. Ukrainians also remember 2022, so they acted according to the usual algorithm," the blogger writes.
According to Sazonov, Trump's phone conversation with Putin and its results are quite predictable:
"The bunker rat believes in a miracle, in his chances of winning on the front and outdoing everyone in diplomacy. Therefore, he will roll out the previously voiced demands - about four regions in their Constitution and reducing the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He will add more about NATO, but this is white noise. Trump is ready for this, he knows the Ukrainian position and is convinced that "having dinner" at our expense is not possible. So he will send Putin away."
Ultimately, according to Sazonov, the conversation between Trump and Putin could have two development scenarios:
"First: Trump, who has become angry, publicly attacks Russia, announces new sanctions and increases aid to Ukraine. Second: The parties declare non-existent successes like "saving millions of non-existent Ukrainian soldiers from a non-existent environment in the Kursk region." Maybe they will add something else like combating climate change (with Trump - unlikely). The bottom line is that the negotiations will continue and will move forward after the terms of the task and the negotiating positions of the parties change. For us, this means one thing - we need to actively work on this change in negotiating positions. First of all, at the front."
Let us recall that on Tuesday, March 18, the American leader is scheduled to hold a conversation with Russian dictator Vladimir Putin.
