The current US leadership is acting without taking into account global long-term factors and benefits, while China has made significant progress in achieving its strategic goals.
This was written on Facebook by Valeriy Pekar, a lecturer at Kyiv-Mohyla Business School, entrepreneur and public figure.
" After yesterday's leak of information from the White House, everyone wrote about two obvious things: about unprofessionalism and chaos and about the ostentatious insincere nature of the vice president's loyalty to the US president. And there is a much more important meaning there... A strategic decision is made not in strategic, but in political-technological logic: how will it look, how to explain it, who to blame, etc. ," he noted.
Pekar emphasized that the world of rules and alliances has turned into a world of the right of the strong: I do it because I can.
" But in addition, the world of strategies has turned into a world of political technologies, where what is important is not global long-term factors and benefits, but internal short-term indicators and PR.
Such a policy will eventually collapse under pressure, on the one hand, from those who are considered bargaining chips in this game (I do not support the Houthis, but I understand how the Yemenis and their sympathizers feel when they are bombed not for freedom of navigation or the defense of Israel, but for the sake of a press conference); and on the other hand, from those who continue to use a strategic approach. Over the past month, China has advanced more in achieving its strategic goals than in the previous twenty years , "Pekar wrote.
