Czech hockey player Dominik Hasek claims that former Russian President Dmitry Medvedev threatened to kill him.
The star goalkeeper wrote about this on his page in X.
Hasek sent two letters reporting death threats from Medvedev. One to the International Olympic Committee and the other to the International Ice Hockey Federation.
"I inform them that former Russian President Medvedev threatened to kill me. In addition, I point out how important their decisions will be in the coming months, and again offer to help create rules so that sports competitions do not become advertisements for Russia's war and do not cause people to die," the hockey player noted.
At the same time, he added that he would publish the letters in a few days.
Let's add that Hasek is a famous Czech hockey goalkeeper, whose career spanned the years 1980-2010. The athlete played in Czechoslovakia, the Czech Republic, Canada and the USA, twice won the Stanley Cup, which is considered to be the most prestigious hockey trophy in America. The last club in Hasek's career was Spartak Moscow, where the Czech spent only a year.
Since the start of the full-scale invasion, Hasek has supported Ukraine and advocated isolating Russia from international hockey competitions and the Olympic Games.
By the way, Ukrainian writer Andriy Kokotyukha decided to share a radical way to address Russian dictator Vladimir Putin.
