The summer residence of Nazi Germany's deputy dictator Adolf Hitler, Hermann Goering, on the island of Sylt is for sale for 18 million euros.
This is reported by BILD.
The publication says that Goering purchased the plot in 1936 for 3,900 marks (about 20,000 euros today). The land was purchased on Goering's behalf by his second wife, Emmy, from the heirs of Jewish businessman Bernard Heilbrunn.
An architect hired by Emmy Göring built the beach house Min Lütten for the future deputy Führer, which was 200 square meters and had three bedrooms and three bathrooms. In 1957, Emmy sold the villa to Cologne industrialist Dr. Paul Alf. Later, the property passed to several members of the Birkenstock family, who sold it in 2019 for 8.7 million euros to multimillionaire Hans Nolte. Now Nolte himself is selling Göring's villa.
"A fully furnished and equipped house after major renovation is offered for approximately 18 million euros. [It is] a magnificent property, the preservation of which is justified both from an architectural and economic point of view," the entrepreneur noted.
