Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiga expressed condolences to Canadians over the tragedy at the festival, which was hit by a car. The incident caused numerous casualties among the population.
Sibiga wrote about this on his page on the social network X.
"We express our condolences to all Canadians, residents of Vancouver, and the Filipino Canadian community in connection with the tragedy at the Lapu Lapu festival, where a car rammed into a crowd, resulting in deaths and injuries. We in Ukraine know the pain of loss. Our hearts go out to the families and loved ones of the deceased," the head of the Ukrainian department noted.
As a reminder, a car drove into a large crowd at a street festival in Vancouver, Canada . There were casualties as a result of the accident.
According to Vancouver police, there are dead and injured, but there is no exact data on the number of victims yet. They also note that the driver has been detained, but information about his possible motives is also not being disclosed.
