A powerful tornado hit Oklahoma in the United States, killing four people and injuring hundreds.
It is reported by CNN.
According to the National Weather Service, numerous large and extremely dangerous tornadoes appeared simultaneously in some parts of Oklahoma.
The Oklahoma Department of Emergency Management reported that several counties reported injuries, property damage, flooding, and downed power lines and trees.
It was reported that more than 20,000 people were still without electricity several hours after the tornado hit. The destruction was extensive in Sulphur, a town of about 5,000 people, where the tornado damaged many buildings in the downtown area, tossed cars and buses, and sheared the roofs off houses across a 15-block radius.
Hospitals across the state reported about 100 injured. An infant was among those killed.
Heavy rains that swept into Oklahoma along with the tornado also caused dangerous flooding.
