Estonian military, police and border guards began to build a temporary fence on the border with the Russian Federation on Saturday, November 20. This is reported byERR.
The border is strengthened on the only land section, in the former channel of the Narva River, where the risk of illegal border crossing is the highest. The construction of the barriers will be carried out for two days. Until November 26, flight restrictions have been imposed on the eastern border.
The Police and Border Guard Department mapped up to ten sections where a barrier of up to 40 kilometers can be built with the help of reservists and 120 kilometers of razor wire provided by the Defence Forces. One of those mapped sections is in Narva, and the rest are at the land border in South-Eastern Estonia.

As Apostrophe reported, in October, the Polish parliament adopted a draft law on the construction of the wall on the border with Belarus. The document was approved against the background of the migrant crisis.
