Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico has mocked his citizens and devalued their efforts to raise nearly €4 million to buy shells for Ukraine, saying that "farting at a tree" will not change the situation.
This was reported by plus.noviny.sk.
It is noted that to explain his opinion, he used the Czech expression "prd do Stromovky" and added that the millions raised will not change the final situation.
Fico expressed the opinion that it would be better if the citizens of his country paid as much attention and money to cancer treatment as to the defense of Ukraine. He believes that neither the money raised by the Slovaks nor the more than $60 billion allocated by the United States or tens of billions by Europe will change the situation on the military front in Ukraine.
"Nothing will change in Ukraine, and in a year or two it will be the same. All the money will be spent, maybe some will be stolen, but nothing will change in Ukraine," he said.
It is worth noting that Robert Fico, who has pro-Kremlin views, has repeatedly said that Crimea will never become Ukrainian again, and Ukraine will not be able to return Donetsk and Luhansk regions. He also claims that Ukraine's accession to NATO could lead to a global conflict.
