Schools and shopping centers are closed: details of the raid by Russian volunteers on the day of Putin's "election"

On March 15, the so-called "Putin's election" begins in Russia. And while there are "arrivals" in Belgorod and local shopping centers, schools and universities are closed, the members of the "Freedom of Russia" Legion showed how they are spending this day.

The volunteers wrote about their first day of Putin's "election" on the "Freedom of Russia Legion" Telegram channel.

"Freedom of Russia" at Putin's "election"

They demonstrated their attitude to Putin's "elections" by posting a video with the message:

"Happy First Day of Elections! We vote for a free Russia".

They also addressed residents of Belgorod and Kursk Regions who did not use the green corridor, urging them to stay in shelters.

Appeal to Belgorod and Kursk Regions

Fighters of the "Freedom of Russia" Legion, the Russian Volunteer Corps and the Siberian Battalion called on residents of Belgorod and Kursk Regions to stay in shelters throughout the day on March 15. They believe that the best solution is to leave the territories of these regions for these days until the end of the "active phase of the limited military operation."

Legion representatives also indicated that they plan to open a humanitarian corridor for those who wish to evacuate from the war zone during the night from 21:00 (Moscow time) on March 15 to 7:00 (Moscow time) on March 16.

For those who cannot use the humanitarian corridor in time, the volunteers advised to find a shelter.

They also reminded the residents of the regions of the following:

"...Putin's regime continues the practice of covering its troops with civilians as a human shield, which makes the stay of civilians in Belgorod and Kursk Regions especially dangerous."

Schools, museums and shopping centers in Belgorod closed due to shelling

Russian public source ASTRA reported that schools, universities, museums and shopping centers in Belgorod were closed due to air raid allerts and shelling.

They note that life in the region is effectively paralyzed on the third day of the partisan raid.

Today, the Belgorod Philharmonic, museums and universities have also decided to close due to the missile threats. Schools announced "home schooling days". The rector of the Belgorod Institute of Culture and Arts, Sergei Kurgansky, also announced "home schooling days," emphasizing that this decision was made by the operational headquarters.

ASTRA adds that classes in local schools have also been switched to online learning in the Kursk Region. Since Wednesday, the institutions have been operating remotely for the first time since the coronavirus.

The Belgorod Art Museum, the museum-diorama "Arc of Fire" and the Belgorod Scientific Library, the Belgorod Palace of Children's Creativity, as well as shopping centers "Megagrinn" and "City Mall" also stopped their work.

However, the public notes how the messages about the closure of institutions border on calls to "go to the polls."

"Putin's election" in Belgorod: arrivals and columns of smoke

Today, "Apostrophe" has already reported on the work of air defense in Belgorod. It is noted that they managed to shoot down 7 MLRS shells over the city, but after loud explosions, a thick column of smoke was seen over the city. The Graivoronsky district was also under fire.

Earlier "Apostrophe" wrote that "Freedom of Russia" Legion fighters want to exchange Tiotkino for Melitopol.
