Russian President Vladimir Putin, wanted by the International Criminal Court (ICC), has arrived in the capital of the United Arab Emirates Abu Dhabi to meet with the country's leader Mohammed Al Nahyan.
This was reported by a Russian Telegram channel.
"In the UAE, Putin is scheduled to have talks with the country's leader Mohammed Al Nahyan - first as part of delegations and then face-to-face. At the end of the day, Putin will travel to Saudi Arabia, where he will meet with Crown Prince Mohammed Al Saud," said the report.
Recall, that since March 2023, Putin has been wanted by ICC on charges of illegal deportation of Ukrainian children from the occupied territories of Ukraine. At the same time, the UAE and Saudi Arabia don't recognize the jurisdiction of this Court.
It's Putin's fourth international trip in the past two months. In October, he visited Kyrgyzstan and China, and in November - Kazakhstan.
This visit was treated with disappointment in Ukraine. Social media users cannot understand how the leaders of the UAE and Saudi Arabia can welcome an international criminal with such hospitality.
"This is how Putin is being greeted today in Dubai. This is how a man who kills people is greeted. This is how they welcome a killer. This is how the UAE goes f*ck," wrote in one of the publics.
