Ukraine has imposed sanctions against airlines operating flights to the Russian Federation

At the initiative of the SBU, Ukraine has imposed sanctions against airlines that fly to Russian airports, as was reported on the Facebook page of the Security Service of Ukraine.

In particular, Ukraine has banned flights of the Moldovan company JET4U S.R.L. and the Portuguese company JET4U LDA to Russia and temporarily occupied territories in violation of current law.

"In view of identified violations, the SBU recommended the National Security and Defense Council to impose the following sanctions on the said companies: suspension of financial and economic obligations, cessation of transit, flight and transportation suspension through Ukraine, asset freezing. The restrictions are valid until the end of Crimean occupation or until the entry into force of the decision of the European Court of Human Rights on Ukraine's claim to Russia for damages in connection with the annexation of the peninsula."

As Apostrophe reported, earlier Ukraine banned 13 airlines operating the flights to temporarily occupied territories of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea in violation of current law.
