Putin was not invited this time: Zelensky, Macron and Merkel set a date for negotiations on the Donbas situation

This week, the Presidents of Ukraine and France Volodymyr Zelensky and Emmanuel Macron, as well as German Chancellor Angela Merkel, decided to hold the negotiations in a tripartite format. The main topic of the conversation would be the aggravation of the situation in the Donbas.

This was reported by ZN.UA with reference to the relevant source.

According to the source, the negotiations were supposed to take place immediately after a video conference with Merkel, Macron , and Putin, but did not take place due to the problems with the coordination of the exact time.

The information regarding the future negotiations was confirmed by another ZN.UA source. However, it was noted that "there is no clarity yet about the date and time".

Earlier, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and American leader Joe Biden discussed Ukrainian integration with NATO, the war in the Donbas and Ukrainian reforms during their telephone conversation.
