The Russian Federation refused to participate in the meeting of the member states of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE), which was planned to consider the concentration of Russian weapons on the border with Ukraine and to give Kremlin an opportunity to address the situation in front of the international community.
This was stated in a statement by the United States Mission to the OSCE on Twitter.
Washington announced a meeting of the OSCE countries on April 10 to consider Russia's military activity and the contraction of Russian military weaponry along the Ukrainian border. At the meeting, it was planned to hear the explanations of the Russian side regarding the concentration of its troops on the border with Ukraine and in the occupied Crimea.
However, the Russian Federation declined to participate in the OSCE meeting on Saturday.
