Germany has made an important decision on the supply of weapons to Ukraine

German Foreign Minister Heiko Maas said that Germany would not supply weapons to Ukraine so as not to affect the "efficiency of the Normandy format". Such statement was made by the German MFA at a briefing with Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba.

The German Foreign Minister assures that his country will support the further reforms in Ukraine, as well as its sovereignty and territorial integrity. However, military assistance should not be waited for, as it allegedly could harm the negotiations within the "Norman format".

"As for the supply of weapons, I said that when we called (Russian Foreign Minister - "Apostrophe") Lavrov to influence the Normandy format meeting... If I said during the phone conversation that we would supply weapons to the parties to the conflict, this conversation would be very short," Maas noted.
