Germany is going to provide military assistance to Ukraine

On Monday, February 7, Germany sentan official letter to Ukraine stating its intention to provide 5,000 protective helmets for the troops of Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Thes was reported by the Defense Minister of Ukraine Oleksii Reznikov on his official Twitter page.

" An official letter was received about Germany’s intention to hand 5,000 helmets to Ukraine announced by the Defence Minister of Germany Christine Lambrecht. I’d like to thank a close friend of Ukraine@AnkaFeldhusen for her work! Hope for a positive decision of other requests from Ukraine &unblocking the procurement through NSPA,” Reznikov tweeted.

Earlier, German Defense Minister Christine Lambrecht confirmed her country's refusal to provide Ukraine with weapons despite the threat of Russian aggression. According to her, Germany does not supply weapons to ‘hot’ regions in order not to contribute to further escalation, and this is German long-standing position.
