Biden agreed to a meeting with Putin, but only on one condition

U.S. President Joseph Biden agreed to a meeting with Kremlin head Vladimir Putin, but only if the Russian Federation fulfilled one condition.

This was reported by White House Communications Director Kate Bedingfield.

Thus, according to Bedingfield, any contacts between American leader Joseph Biden and Russian President Vladimir Putin are possible only if Moscow is de-escalated and is really ready to take the path of diplomacy.

"We made it clear, President Biden made it clear that there is a need for tangible de-escalation by Russia and a clear, true commitment to diplomacy before the president had such a conversation," she said.

It is worth noting that earlier Biden had already claimed that he did not exclude the possibility of meeting with Putin. According to the head of the White House, it depends on what the President of Russia wants to discuss.

Earlier Apostrophe also reported that United States President Joe Biden spoke harshly about Russian President Vladimir Putin during his speech in Poland, calling him a "butcher" and saying that this person cannot remain in power.

Later he said that he did not give up his words and he did not care what the leader of the aggressor country thinks about it.
