CNN pointed to a significant aggravation of US President Joe Biden's age problem following his debate with Donald Trump.
According to the TV channel, the most important goal of the debate for Biden was to calm voters' concerns about his greatest vulnerability - his age. Biden is now 81 years old, 3 years older than Trump.
"He failed. Biden was wheezing and at times slurred. Words often overlapped. He was confused in his speeches, especially when he tried to cite statistics and legislation,"CNN states.
At the debate, Biden noted that his opponent was only a few years younger than him, but "much less competent."
In response, Trump challenged Biden to take a cognitive test, as Trump himself had done.
Then the pair argued about who was better at golf now.
