Don’t be afraid of the power of evil: Metropolitan Epiphanius addressed Ukrainians with the Easter message

The Celebrant of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine Metropolitan Epiphanius addressed the people of Ukraine and congratulated everyone on Easter.

The speaker of Orthodox Church of Ukraine Ivan Sydor informs about it on his page on Facebook.

"Two calls, concentrated in the first words, which were heardby myrrh-bearing wives heard from the Lord Jesus Christ heard are related to the news of the resurrection of the Savior."Rejoice!"and "Fear not!", - thepost stated.

Also, Metropolitan Epiphanius called Ukrainians notto be afraid of the forces of evil.

"The sorrows of theworld, suffering, the domination of evil, uncertainty about the future - all that oppresses man, leads to depression and despair, but the resurrection of Christ brings us joy and drives fear away. The Savior himself calls us not be afraid of the power of evil, but to confront it victoriously: "In the world you experience sorrow," he says, "but be courageous: I have conquered the world," the priest said.

He noted that there is so much content in the seemingly short and simple words of our mutual greeting.

"We affirm through them our faith in God, faith in the true coming into the world of the Son of God, in His victory over evil and death, and in our own resurrection from the dead. All this encourages us to fulfill the commandments of God, to increase the good and fight against sin both in ourselves and in the world around us," Metropolitan Epiphanius emphasized.

As it was earlier reported by "Apostrophe", the Ukrainian Mint minted coins that are dedicated to the provision of tomos about autocephaly of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine.
