Front-line Mariupol shocked the US videoblogger: his experience

American tourist and videoblogger Peter Santanello was shocked by Mariupol’s ecology, as journalist Denis Kazansky stated on his Twitter account.

“American videoblogger Peter Santanello, who has lived in Ukraine for a couple of years, visited Mariupol and filmed a video about the city. Santanello shared his shock regarding the bad ecology and noted that he has never seen anything like this before,” the message reads.

“These factories create a veil over the city. I felt it right away; I felt the air, and I felt a slight pain in my nose and eyes. When I inhaled, it became harder to breathe. Welcome to Mariupol!” the blogger shared his impressions.

The American noted that people cough in public transportation, as during flu season, in fall and winter.

Santanello was also impressed by the huge dumps of slag, which one could find near the seacoast.

“I went to one district, and everything is black here. Absolutely everything is covered with black bloom,” he commented surprisingly.

As “Apostrophe” reported earlier, Verkhovna Rada registered two bills on the reform of ecological tax, which could relocate the funds paid by polluters.
