'Leave Nato': Justin Trudeau pranked by a Russian duo posing as Greta Thunberg

Russian prankers Vladimir Kuznetsov (Vovan) and Oleksey Stoliarov (Lexus) called Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, who believed he was talking to climate change activist Greta Tunberg, as was reported by The Guardian.

Prankers released a 10-minute-long recording of the phone call this week, in which they counseled Trudeau about world politics.

First, a third person – playing the teenage climate activist – told Trudeau she was worried about a “growing international crisis and anticipation of the world war”.

It already leading to a disaster,” fake Greta said. “It’s very scary,” to which Trudeau replied: “Yes indeed.” After Trudeau expressed his belief that Thunberg’s 2019 visit to Montreal ahead of the country’s federal election “helped define” the outcome in terms of climate change, Thunberg interrupted to say, “But leave NATO. Drop your weapons. Pick flowers. Smile at nature.” Trudeau responded without a pause: “I also dream of a world in which soldiers are not necessary, but we don’t live in that world yet, unfortunately.”

Then, the fake Greta accused Meghan Markle of “manipulating” Prince Harry – the pair were in the process of deciding whether to live in Canada. And in the end, "Thunberg" asked whether Trudeau could introduce her to Terrance and Phillip.

I would be happy to – I’ll ask my team to try and figure out how we can connect you. Because I don’t have their direct coordinates with me now,” the Prime Minister said.

Then she requested a chance to meet some of the characters from South Park again – at which point the penny finally dropped.

Wait, Terrance and Phillip, were they not in South Park?” he asked. “I don’t personally know them. I believe they are South Park parodies of Canadians,” he said, before politely ending the call.

According to Apostrophe, earlier Russian prankers Lexus and Vovan pranked the former White House employee Monica Lewinsky.
