It's gonna be a long war: Commander of the "Azov" Brigade told how Ukraine can withstand and defeat the enemy

Lieutenant Colonel Denys Redis Prokopenko, Commander of the "Azov" Brigade of the National Guard, believes that the war in Ukraine may last for years as Russia will never give up its geopolitical goals and will not release Ukraine from its sphere of influence.

About this he wrote on his page on Facebook.

"The war will continue exactly as long as we'll be able to resist. Any "peace talks" or agreements will be just another time-out for the enemy in order to accumulate resources for a further offensive," the military officer is convinced.

According to his conviction, those who are still not involved in service in the Defense Forces of Ukraine, must make a conscious choice: to take up arms, joining the military, or to become a reliable rear guard for the army, working in support of the country's defense capability.

"The best cure for discouragement, panic or apathy caused by thinking about the timeframe of this war is an active involvement in the historical processes that are taking place here and now", - believes Prokopenko.

Earlier, experts said that Ukraine must prepare for a long war and prefer a policy of long-term deterrence against Russia to have Western support in the future.
