The idea of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to include social aid for refugees in Europe in Ukrainian budget and distribute it independently will not find support among the EU leadership.
This opinion was expressed by Ukrainian experts in the article of "Apostrophe".
According to Vitaly Kulik, Director of the Research Centre for Civil Society Problems, social aid to Ukrainian refugees abroad is a fair distribution of aid from foreign partners directly to each migrant. He believes that no intermediaries are needed here, especially in the face of Ukrainian state, to which there are big questions about efficiency and corruption.
"Even the most pro-Ukrainian politicians in the West have no illusions about the efficiency of management in Ukraine and the redistribution of any financial flows. Therefore, no money to the budget and then from the budget to migrants - no one will do it. This is an unrealistic proposal. And no one will give us any money for further redistribution," Vitaly Kulik said.
The realization of Ukrainian president's proposal is also impossible because of technical reasons. First of all, aid to refugees is strictly targeted, and secondly, there are specifics of providing subsidies for rent.
"No one will definitely implement this, it is impossible," investment banker and financial analyst Serhiy Fursa is convinced.
Earlier we wrote that President Volodymyr Zelensky believes that it is correct to support the country's economy, if social aid to Ukrainian refugees abroad goes to Ukrainian budget and Ukraine distributes it further.
