In the temporarily occupied cities of Donetsk and Luhansk Regions, where people continue to live, the situation with electricity and heat is critical. In some places, residents are warming themselves using generators, and in some towns the occupation authorities are trying to organize restoration works "on camera".
Roman Vlasenko, the Head of Sievierodonetsk District State Administration, told about this on the air of Apostrophe TV.
According to his words and approximate estimates, there are currently up to 100,000 people in Sievierodonetsk, Luhansk Region, including the troops and occupation guest workers.
"I divided the district into three parts. The first one is Popasna-Hirske, where the situation is more or less calm, but the situation with utilities is the worst. Not many people stay there, mostly all services are provided by generators. In Hirske, there is information that gas is available, and they are trying to restore electricity. In Popasna, no restoration works being done. There are about 200 locals in the town, a lot of military. It was the rear base of the "Wagner" military group during the attacks on Bakhmut," said Vlasenko.
At the same time, the situation in Lysychansk-Sievierodonetsk-Rubizhne is "more or less normal". The occupants are demonstratively carrying out reconstruction work there, and their bosses are people from the regions of the Russian Federation. There is a fairly stable gas supply, periodic water and electricity.
"With heat the situation is more or less only in Sievierodonetsk, in Rubizhne it is not a question at all, in Lysychansk they are currently carrying out some works," - emphasized the Head of Sievierodonetsk District State Administration.
Earlier "Apostrophe" reported that the situation in temporarily occupied Mariupol remains deplorable - the city has problems with heating, no compensation for destroyed property is paid and there is no work.
