In the temporarily occupied territory of Zaporizhzhia Region, the occupants are implementing a project called "Zaporizhzhia virgin land". Their plan is to force Ukrainians to obtain Russian passports or to push out dissenters from this region deep into the Russian Federation. In fact, a genocide of Ukrainians is taking place there.
The Mayor of Melitopol Ivan Fedorov tells about it in his Telegram-channel.
He says that the occupation authorities are preparing a mass settlement of TOT (temporarily occupied territory) by "their" people. The occupants' project was named in the spirit of the Soviet era - "Zaporizhzhia virgin land". In particular, the occupants intend to force Ukrainian population remaining in Melitopol to obtain Russian passports. Dissenters are threatened with all kinds of repressions.
Thus, the occupation authorities apply the following threats to people with Ukrainian passports:
- residents will be detained and taken to the commandant's office for "clarification of circumstances";
- people without an "auswais" will pay a third of their income in taxes (the tax for foreigners is 30% higher);
- public demonstrative deportations of "foreigners" from their homes;
- starting from July 1, the procedure for obtaining Russian documents will become more complicated - in order to obtain citizenship, it will be necessary to pass exams;
- access to medicine and social services will be limited.
At the same time, the occupation authorities are already accepting applications from residents of Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan who would like to live in this area. That is, those who do not agree will be pushed out of Zaporizhzhia Region deep into Russia and in this way the ethnic composition of the region will be changed in the same way as it was done in the Far East.
evict the dissenters and make room for "their own";
to satisfy the shortage of personnel - to settle doctors, teachers, engineers and residents of Russian hinterland in the seized housing.
The residents of Melitopol are already noticing an increase of population in the region
Now there are more people there than before the full-scale invasion and occupation. But there is one nuance. The fact is that before the full-scale war, the population of Melitopol was 150 thousand people. About half of the city's residents moved to the territory controlled by Ukraine with the beginning of the occupation. The occupants have already brought in about 100,000 foreigners to replace them.
"For almost two years, the rashists have brought to Melitopol about a 100,000 of foreigners: military personnel, guest workers and other strangers from Russia. The residents of Melitopol don't recognize the occupants and are waiting for Ukraine to return," says Ivan Fedorov.
Earlier "Apostrophe" reported that the situation in temporarily occupied Mariupol remains deplorable - the city has problems with heating, no compensation for destroyed property is paid and there is no work.
