The leaders of Ukraine have come to understanding that the war can be ended with economic leverage, by destroying the enemy's oil refining infrastructure with the help of drones.
Volodymyr Yatsenko, the developer of the Ukrainian UAVs "Dovbush" and "Kotygoroshko", expressed this opinion on the air of the Yedyni Novyny tele marathon, noting that the military has ordered 6 times more drones from him than it produces today.
"Certain military structures approached us, I won't reveal what type of military it is, but they came to us and said that they are ready to buy 6 times more drones from us than we currently produce. But it is impossible to do it right away, so we immediately we give what we have, in 3 months we triple the production, in another 3 months we increase it 6 times. As a manager and leader, I understand well what resource, equipment is needed. And if this becomes a reality, then we will be at the level of our enemy on medium- and long-range drones that operate up to 1,500 km. This is really such a distinction for me, and indicators that something is fundamentally changing," Volodymyr Yatsenko said.
He noted that problems with customs, which previously delayed components, have disappeared, and the issue of providing UAV manufacturers with protected premises is also evolving.
"Just the day after my address to the Verkhovna Rada on air, representatives of both the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine and the Ministry of Defense called us. We had a very clear and specific conversation about what changes and additions should be made to the Civil Codes. Work is now underway between the legal departments, and I hope that we will solve this issue quickly enough. Because, for example, our UAV - Kotygoroshko kamikaze drone, which is better than the Russian Lancet, it is not currently in a mass launch, because I need secure premises, where you can place at least 300 specialists, or even more. And then we will be able to produce about 5 thousand of drones every month. We are seeing very drastic changes. I have the impression that the leadership of our country has come to understand that the war can be ended by economic levers. Because Russia is not even a gas station, but a barrel of oil that stands on very thin legs. And these legs are oil pipelines, terminals, refineries. All this is known, it is 35% of the enemy's budget. The destruction of this infrastructure in just a few months can lead to the cessation of financing of military operations by the enemy, because he will simply have nowhere to get money," Volodymyr Yatsenko noted.
