New waves of offensives are coming soon: what's happening in Kharkiv Region

The situation in the Kharkiv Region remains tense, with the occupiers intending to capture Vovchansk, hoping to weaken the Defense Forces and divert the attention of Ukrainian troops. Despite the fighting in the Kharkiv Region, new waves of offensives may begin in the near future, including in the Sumy Region.

Yuriy Fedorenko, Commander of the Achilles UAV Battalion of the 92nd Separate Airborne Brigade, told Apostrophe TV about the enemy's tactics in the Kharkiv Region and potential waves of the occupiers' offensive.

He noted that the decision to move the reserves to the Kharkiv Region was approved in time, so it allowed us to take up appropriate positions before the Russians crossed the border:

"The decision to move the reserves to the Kharkiv Region was made in a timely manner. That allowed us to set up positions before the enemy crossed the border, and from the moment they crossed, we began to detect and destroy them."

Fedorenko recalls how targets in Belgorod and other areas of enemy concentration were hit, which helped to disrupt the enemy's plans.

"Targets were hit both in Belhorod and in areas of concentration. Due to this, after crossing the border, the enemy failed to achieve noticeable results," he points out and adds that Russia will continue to try to distract the attention of the Ukrainian Armed Forces reserves: "We understand that the enemy will continue to attack in order to distract the Ukrainian Armed Forces reserves".

Regarding the situation in Vovchansk, Fedorenko comments that residential areas remain important for the Russians: "With the advantage in manpower, they gain a tactical advantage there."

According to the Commander of the attack-drone Battalion, new waves of attacks are likely in the near future, including in Sumy Region:

"There will be other waves of attacks in the near future. The enemy intends to cross the border and start fighting. The situation in Sumy Region may escalate at any time."

Yuriy Fedorenko adds that the enemy has been actively using armored vehicles since the beginning of the offensive in Kharkiv Region, but now it is using different tactics: "...due to successful attacks, they switched to the tactics of small groups. They use different types of transportation: Soviet-made minibuses, buggy cars, trucks, etc., equipped with electronic warfare and shield protection."

Earlier, Apostrophe wrote that Russians use captured Ukrainians as human shields in Vovchansk.
