"It can serve as a new member in our urban combat operations, replacing our (human) members to conduct reconnaissance and identify (the) enemy and strike the target," said soldier Chen Wei in the video.
It is worth noting that the use of robotic dogs and small drones in military operations is quite common. In particular, one of the videos captured by CCTV cameras shows dogs equipped with weapons in training that took place in China last November. The military from China, Cambodia, Laos, Malaysia, Thailand, and Vietnam took part in the training.
In particular, robot dogs were used by the US military in 2020 as one of the links in its Advanced Battle Management System (ABMS), which involves the use of artificial intelligence and rapid data analysis to identify and counter threats to US military facilities.
