Russian occupiers keep trying to storm Chasiv Yar in Donetsk Region, but the town remains under the control of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
Dmytro Kozhubenko, an officer of the Rubizh Brigade, spoke about this on the air of Apostrophe TV.
According to him, the Russian military have a numerical advantage when trying to cross the Siverskyi Donets-Donbas canal.
"Meat assaults continue in order to cross the Siverskyi Donets-Donbas canal and capture the town of Chasiv Yar," the military said.
He noted that due to the opening of the front in the Kharkiv direction, the Defense Forces have less reserves. In this regard, the enemy is trying to seize more territory. At the same time, the Armed Forces of Ukraine have so far managed to deter the offensive.
"There has been no significant improvement in the situation at the front, but some Western weapons have started to arrive," added Dmytro Kozhubenko.
