The Russian army is reinforcing the group along the border by deploying motorized rifle and tank units.
This was reported by National Guard spokesperson, Ruslan Muzychuk on the air of Apostrophe TV.
According to him, during the past week, the enemy has been actively trying to storm the area of Ivanivske to advance towards Chasiv Yar. In addition, assault operations were conducted near Klishchiyivka and Andriyivka to draw forces away from Ivanivske and Chasiv Yar.
Despite the fact that the enemy used a lot of armored vehicles, 24 tanks and more than 30 units of other equipment were destroyed over the week, which is almost twice as many as the previous week.
According to the National Guard spokesperson, the number of engagements in the Kharkiv direction is relatively small. In particular, fighting is taking place on the outskirts of Vovchansk, as well as in Liptsy and Hlyboke. The enemy is focusing its efforts not on assaults, but on holding positions.
According to Muzychuk, the Russians are increasing the use of electronic warfare to counter drones. The enemy is using the advantage in aviation. Aircrafts are launching missiles and KAB bombs from the territory of Russia. At the same time the National Guard of Ukraine destroyed 69 artillery systems in the Kharkiv direction over the past week.
