Defense Forces are counterattacking and continuing to recapture positions from the Russians in the Kharkiv direction, while the enemy marginally advanced south of Siversk and near Avdiivka.
This is stated in the analysis of the Institute for the Study of War (ISW).
Kharkiv Region
Ukrainian forces have regained lost positions north of Kharkiv and are conducting a counterattack to capture positions southeast of Hlyboke (north of Kharkiv).
Analysts suggest that Russian troops have moved reserves to the north of Kharkiv Region, although the size of these reserve formations remains unclear. The enemy is attempting to build fortifications around its current positions in the northern Kharkiv direction. There were unsuccessful ground attacks near Hlyboke, Vovchansk and Tykhe (east of Vovchansk).
Luhansk Region
Russian troops continued limited offensive operations along the Kupyansk-Svatove-Kreminna line, but had no success. Fighting continued:
- north-east of Kupyansk near Synkivka and Petropavlivka;
- southeast of Kupiansk near Pishchane;
- northwest of Svatove near Stelmakhivka, Myasozharivka and Berestove;
- northwest of Kreminna near Druzhelyubivka, Nevske and Hrekivka;
- west of Kreminna near Terny;
- southwest of Kreminna in Serebryansky forest
Donetsk Region
Russians advanced south of Siversk to the eastern outskirts of Rozdolivka (south of Siversk).
On June 12 and 13, fighting also continued near Bilohorivka (north of Siversk) and Spirne (southeast of Siversk).
Offensives also continued near Chas Yar, but the enemy had no results there either. Analysts report ground attacks:
- in eastern Chasiv Yar,
- north of Chasiv Yar near Kalynivka,
- east of Chasiv Yar near Ivanivske,
- southeast of Chasiv Yar near Andriivka.
ISW mentions that Russian troops captured Novopokrovske, northwest of Avdiivka. The Ukrainian General Staff wrote that Russian troops first attacked southwest of Novopokrovske, and that the fighting had moved beyond Novopokrovske.
Additional geolocated footage showed an advance west of Semenivka and north of Umanske.
Attacks also continued northwest of Avdiivka in the area of Kalynove, Novoselivka Persha, Yevhenivka and Sokil.
The enemy intensified its offensive to the west and southwest of Donetsk. On June 13, the occupiers were active in the Kurakhove direction (west and southwest of Donetsk city), west of Donetsk near Krasnohorivka and Heorhiivka, and southwest of Donetsk near Paraskoviivka.
"A Ukrainian military officer claimed on June 13 that Russian forces conducted a company-sized mechanized attack with 19 armored vehicles and that Ukrainian forces destroyed 14 of the vehicles while repelling the attack," writes ISW.
The occupiers tried to capture Kostyantynivka (southwest of Donetsk city) and Paraskoviyivka with armored vehicles, and continue to put pressure on the Ukrainian rear in the Vuhledar area.
Fighting continued on the border of Donetsk and Zaporizhzhia regions near Staromayorske and Urozhayne, with no changes to the front.
Southern Axis
The enemy attacked near Robotyne, Verbove (east of Robotyne) and Mala Tokmachka (northwest of Robotyne) in the western Zaporizhzhia Region - no changes to the frontline were recorded.
Attacks also continued near Krynky in the east bank of Kherson Region with no changes to the frontline. ISW quotes Dmytro Pletenchuk as saying that Ukrainian forces managed to destroy five Russian military boats in one day.
Earlier, Apostrophe reported that the Russians had no success in the Sumy Region and continue attacks near Vovchansk and Chasiv Yar.
