North Korea has launched more than 150 balloons with trash across the inter-Korean border. They fell in different places of the country.

Yonhap writes about it.

The balloons reportedly carried various debris, such as plastic bottles, batteries, shoe parts, and even manure.

On Sunday, North Korea said it was scattering “mounds of waste paper and dirt” over the border areas due to the distribution of anti-Pyongyang leaflets.

The military advises residents in these areas not to touch the balloons and to inform the nearest military or police authorities.

The publication reminds that for many years, North Korean defectors in South Korea and conservative activists have been sending leaflets to the North in balloons to help encourage North Koreans to finally rebel against the Pyongyang regime. North Korea, on the other hand, is concerned that the influx of outside information could pose a threat to its leader, Kim Jong Un.
