After his visit to North Korea, Russian dictator Vladimir Putin decided to visit Vietnam.
This was reported by Russian news agencies.
Russian-Vietnamese talks began in Hanoi. A video is posted online showing a traditional greeting ceremony in the best Soviet traditions: children, flags, two elderly politicians.
It is reported that Putin and the Vietnamese leader, whose name is not even mentioned by the state agency in several news reports, had a brief conversation after the traditional photo ceremony at the presidential palace before heading to the talks.
During the talks with Vietnamese President To Lam, Putin said that Russia attaches great importance to developing a dialogue with ASEAN member states. He also invited the Vietnamese president to celebrate the 80th anniversary of Victory in Moscow.
