US President-Elect Joe Biden claimed that from now on it will be easier for migrants to obtain US citizenship. In addition, he is going to repeal Donald Trump's environmental decrees and take the steps to minimize the consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic during his first 100 days in the White House.
"On day one, I'm going to send a legislative immigration reform bill to Congress to provide a roadmap to citizenship for 11 million undocumented immigrants who contribute so much to this country… I intend to put an end to some, I think, very harmful decrees that have significantly affected the deterioration of the climate and people’s health," Biden stated in his interview with NBC's Lestor Holt. Biden also promised an "immediate assistance" to the US states the most affected by the pandemic.
"It's not just a financial crisis, it’s more than that, it's a crisis that causes real mental stress which affected millions of people," he said. Joe Biden also assured that he does not plan to initiate an investigation against Donald Trump.
"I am not going to do what this president is doing by utilizing the Ministry of Justice as a tool. We need to end this," he said.
According to "Apostrophe", the head of the US General Services Emily Murphy signed the documents to authorize the transition process. Donald Trump, however, is not ready to give up his team's litigation efforts.
