The FBI is investigating threats to the judges of the US Supreme Court, who ruled to disqualify Donald Trump from the ballot in the presidential election 2024 in Colorado State.
This is reported by CNN.
"The FBI is aware of the situation and working with local law enforcement. We will vigorously pursue investigations of any threat or use of violence committed by someone who uses extremist views to justify their actions regardless of motivation," said FBI Public Affairs Officer Vikki Migoya.
CNN notes, that a spokesperson for Colorado Judicial Branch would not comment on reports of threats against judges. Colorado State Patrol Police spokesman Gary Cutler said any threats against judges would be handled by local authorities.
A non-partisan research organization has provided US law enforcement agencies with an analysis of online forums. According to the document, the names of the four Colorado Supreme Court justices who ruled to disqualify Trump from the ballot have appeared frequently in “incendiary” posts on such forums with calls to expose the judges’ personal data. Although the analysis found no specific threats to the judges, it said “there remains a risk of lone actor or small group violence or other illegal activities in response to the ruling.”
Earlier "Apostrophe" reported that secret documents, contained information about Russian interference in the election in 2016 went missing in the final days of Trump's presidency.
