In Germany, a driver crashed into the crowd: many people wounded and dead

On Tuesday, December 1, in the city of Trier (Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany), a Range Rover car driver crashed into the pedestrian zone of the street and crashed into a crowd. According to local police, two people were killed and several others were injured.

According to the Trier Police official Twitter page, the driver was detained.

"One person was arrested, the car was seized. According to preliminary data, two people died. Please continue to avoid the city center routes," as was stated in a Twitter-post of the police department regarding the accident in the city. Police later added that the driver was a 51-year-old local resident. All the details and circumstances of the event are being clarified.

The street where the accident has happened is located in the center of the city. Usually, the Christmas fairs and celebrations are taking place right there. This year, the festivities were canceled due to quarantine, but the street at the time of the accident was still quite crowded.

The police promise to announce the details of the event at a special briefing.

According to "Apostrophe", there was a fatal car accident also took place in Transcarpathia, Ukraine. As a result of the collision of the car with the truck, 5 people, including a child, died.
