Scholz's ally urged to prepare for war with Russia even if Putin loses in Ukraine

Germany has to be prepared for Russian aggression even after the war in Ukraine. Europe must be secured from Russia.

This was stated by the co-chairman of the ruling Social Democratic Party of Germany, Lars Klingbeil, writes Bild.

At the same time, he doesn't believe in a scenario, that Russian army in the coming months will manage to occupy large territories in eastern Ukraine and try to capture Kyiv.

At the same time, Klingbeil urges to prepare for different variants of development.

"The slogan 'Peace and security in Europe only with Russia, not against Russia' is now outdated. It is an old formulation. Now we should say 'We must ensure Europe's security from Russia.' That is the slogan now. And it doesn't matter now whether Putin is successful or not. There is still a European neighbor who is ready for war. And is ready to move the borders in violation of international law," - said the head of the ruling coalition. He called to strengthen the defense capabilities of Europe.

Earlier we told you that Norway will transfer military aid for $1.8 billion to Ukraine.
