Russia can be restrained: the West made a statement about a great war in Europe

A great war with Russia in Europe may not happen if we help Ukraine defeat the enemy.

This, as Delfi writes, was stated by Krišjānis Kariņš, Latvian Foreign Minister during a speech in the Saeima.

He called Russian aggression against Ukraine an "imperialist war." According to him, Moscow is trying to change the international order based on the rule of law and replace it with the power of force.

"Russia is trying by all means in its propaganda to tell us in Latvia and the rest of the Western world that we are divided, that we are helpless, that the war is moving forward, that Russia will win it, and there is no point in resistance," Kariņš said in his speech, adding that this is lies, nonsense and stupidity.

He believes that Russia can be deterred from attacking other countries. The Foreign Minister emphasized that in fact a great war in Europe is not inevitable. "It is in our power to suspend it, working, of course, to strengthen its security together with our Western allies," he said, emphasizing that Latvia together with allies should help Ukraine to win the war unleashed by Moscow.

We shall remind you that the German Armed Forces are preparing for a military conflict with Russia.
