Polish farmers continue to block checkpoints on the border with Ukraine, but they have unblocked truck traffic at one of them - the Dolhobyczów-Uhryniv checkpoint.
This was reported by the State Border Guard Service on its Telegram channel.
It is noted that as of 14:40 p.m. on Tuesday, April 16, the registration and passage of trucks in both directions is carried out in the usual mode. Currently, 100 trucks are waiting to leave Ukraine at this checkpoint, while another 30 trucks with a gross vehicle weight (GVW) of up to 7.5 tons are waiting clearance on the territory of the neighboring state.
"We ask drivers and carriers to take this information into account when planning international transportation," the State Border Guard Service emphasized.
As a reminder, the reasons for the border blockade were the European Commission's decision to extend duty-free trade with Ukraine until 2025, as well as disagreement with the European Union's Green Deal policy.
Polish farmers believe that the regulations imposed by Brussels will lead to higher production costs and a drop in their income. In addition, they demand to limit free imports of products from Ukraine.
Earlier, we wrote that Polish farmers lifted the blockade of the border with Russia.
