Polish farmers have suspended the blockade on the border with Russia in Grzechotki due to the Easter holidays. They intend to resume the protest next week.
This is reported by Polskie Radio.
Farmers of the Warmia and Masuria Voivodeship reported that the border blockade is being suspended due to the upcoming holidays, although they had previously announced a blockade of the Russian border for at least a month.
They emphasize that despite the full-scale invasion of Ukraine, trade with Russia is continuing and that is why they intend to resume the protest next week.
Polish farmers organized nationwide protests on March 20, blocking roads and intersections with tractors. They blocked one of the border crossings with Slovakia. The farmers claimed that the protest began because agricultural products from Ukraine and Russia were entering Poland via these roads. The farmers planned to continue the blockade until the end of March.
Earlier "Apostrophe" reported that Poland may impose restrictions on imports of Ukrainian vegetables, sugar, rapeseed and oil.
