Polish farmers continue to block checkpoints on the border with Ukraine, even though one of them was unblocked a day earlier. Now they have announced the blocking of the Korczowa – Krakovets checkpoint.
This was reported by the State Customs Service of Ukraine on its Facebook page.
According to information from Poland, the blocking of goods entering Ukraine is planned from 9 a.m. on April 18 to 9 a.m. on April 20 at the Korczowa – Krakovets checkpoint. They will only let one car to pass through per hour. This will not apply to humanitarian and military cargo.
Passenger transport (cars and buses) will also be able to move freely in both directions.
As a reminder, the reasons for the border blockade were the European Commission's decision to extend duty-free trade with Ukraine until 2025, as well as disagreement with the European Union's Green Deal policy.
Polish farmers believe that the regulations imposed by Brussels will lead to higher production costs and a drop in their income. In addition, they demand to limit free imports of products from Ukraine.
Earlier, we wrote that Polish farmers unblocked truck traffic at the Dolhobyczów-Uhryniv checkpoint.
