A powerful explosion occurs in Poland at a plant producing rocket fuel

An explosion occurred in Poland at the Mesko military plant, which produces rocket fuel. One worker died.

The radio channel notes that a fire brigade is working at the scene, and an ambulance helicopter has landed.

"We have an explosion at the rocket fuel center, which was put into operation a few years ago," plant's CEO Elżbieta Śreniawska, confirmed in an interview with the TV channel.

It was reported that two people were inside at the time of the explosion. The 59-year-old man's life could not be saved. An ambulance took one of the victims to the hospital. His life is not in danger.

Later, the radio channel clarified that the fire that started after the explosion had already been extinguished.

Police are working at the scene. It is also reported that a special group has been set up at the plant to investigate the causes of the tragedy.
