Another scandal over the Ryanair plane forced landing: the dispatcher who was negotiating with the pilots disappeared

A dispatcher - who was allegedly negotiating with the pilot of the Ryanair flight Athens-Vilnius, forcibly landed in Minsk in May 2021 due to the presence of opposition journalist Roman Protasevich on board - left Belarus together with his family.

This was reported by a Telegram channel "Nasha Nyva".

Journalists tried to contact dispatcher Oleg Galegov, and after several unsuccessful attempts they interviewed the employees of "Belaeronavigation".

The missing dispatcher has been working for the company since at least 2010. His colleagues reported that despite the fact that he was on schedule, he had not been seen at work since the beginning of the month.

According to one source, it is impossible to contact Galegov: he does not answer phone calls, and his profiles in social networks have been deleted.

"The voice on the published record of the incident with Ryanair belongs to him," said the interlocutor of the publication.

Deputy General Director of "Belarusian Navigation" Ivan Gerlovsky said that Galegov has been on vacation since June, but after that the official got confused and said that he lives with his mother-in-law.

Another colleague of the missing dispatcher suggested that he had gone to Georgia because he had relatives there.

The journalists also did not manage to contact Oleg Galegov's wife Anna, who closed her social media profiles as well.
