Zelensky made an unpleasant for Kremlin statement on Crimea and Donbas

The President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky called for the increase of sanctions against Russia, as he stated in his interview to Bild.

According to him, international coercive measures are the only diplomatic way to influence Moscow. The President also assured that he is confident he can “bring peace to Ukraine through diplomatic means”.

Zelensky noted the need to widen and increase sanctions if they are not having the desired effect on Russia’s policy.

“We are convinced that sanctions need to be implemented until Ukraine’s territorial integrity and sovereignty are restored,” the President stressed.

Zelensky also announced his desire to tell his Russian colleague Volodymyr Putin that Crimea is Ukrainian.

“We hope it’s going to be returned soon,” he summarized.

As “Apostrophe” reported earlier, on Monday, June 17, President Volodymyr Zelensky had an official visit to France, where he met with the President Emmanuel Macron.
