US President Donald Trump may pay Ukraine an important visit before attending the May 9 Victory Parade in Moscow, as The Guardian reported referencing sources in diplomatic circles.
British Prime Minister Boris Johnson join Donald Trump in his journey.
According to the publication, Trump and Johnson have yet to make a final decision on their participation in the Moscow ceremony. As of now, they're still evaluating the positions of all parties involved.
The Guardian notes that among the compromise options that are being considered in Washington and London is the participation in wreath-laying in Moscow without attending the military parade. In this case, the leaders would also make a joint statement that would disassociate them from Putin's military operations in Syria and Ukraine, as well as from the Kremlin's rewriting of history.
In addition, it is possible to "balance" the visit to Moscow with participation in the ceremonies that will be held in Ukraine the day prior, on March 8.
