What Kolomoyskyi says in the second part of the controversial interview: video and key quotes

The second part of an interview with Ukrainian oligarch Igor Kolomoyskyi was published online. Kolomoyskyi continued to criticize the country's leadership, particularly President Petro Poroshenko.

The video was published by a YouTube channel called Bihus.Info.

About Petro Poroshenko

Kolomoyskyi highlighted that, despite always talking about it, the President was unable to return the Crimea and the Donbas.

“I am proud that I didn’t give Poroshenko a dime,” the businessman underlined.

About a potential return to Ukraine

According to Kolomoyskyi, he is in no rush to return to the country.

“Returning to overthrow Poroshenko and break the system – yes, I’d do that. Returning for the sake of returning – no. I am waiting on the official announcement, a symbol. Otherwise, they would say I returned during Poroshenko’s presidency and not Zelensky’s. I do not want to improve Poroshenko’s statistics. They’d say then that many oligarchs returned during Poroshenko times,” Kolomoyskyi added.

About Ukraine’s current government

“Out of the current Cabinet, no one is good. The tax service is still Yatsenyuk’s achievement – there’s no problem with the VAT return. Danilyuk didn’t bother me. He was just walking around there, but then he took a surprisingly constructive stance on the nationalization of PrivatBank. The brightest thing now is the Ministry of Infrastructure with the hyperloop and the roads. Everything’s terrible with healthcare. Half of my family are doctors, so I know what is happening in that field. Attorney General needs to have a law degree. My lawyer Bogdan would make a good Attorney General,” he noted.

About the new President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky

Zelensky is an experiment, but it can’t be worse. Worse is only mass hunger. Poroshenko persuaded everyone that it was Kolomoyskyi who led Zelensky to presidency. This virus got into the public consciousness, infecting the brain. There’s no sense in fighting it. It is my cross, and I need to carry it,” the oligarch said.

According to Kolomoyskyi, many of the current parliament members wanted to join the Zelensky’s team, including Anton Yatsenko.

“At least a half of “Vidrodzhennya” members called. No one called from Petro Poroshenko’s party. No one even called from UKROP. Alexander Shevchenko asked what would be the election system. Tymoshenko didn’t call either. I believe she’s upset,” Kolomoyskyi added.

About Russian passports for Donbas residents

The oligarch believes there is “nothing bad” with issuing Russian citizenships to the residents of Ukraine’s occupied territories.

Earlier, “Apostrophe” reported that Ukraine’s Minister of Defense, Stepan Poltorak, was surprised by Ihor Kolomoyskyi’s statement regarding the war in the Donbas.
