Responding to Apostrophe’s request, Ukraine’s Ministry of Defense named the military aid Ukraine receives from its partners.
Specifically, the request asked about the equipment supplies. It is worth noting that not all money is spent on equipment. For instance, out of the American $250 million that were put on hold earlier, only $50 million were allocated for lethal weapons. The remaining aid was meant for military training, logistics development, intelligence support, etc.
According to the Ministry of Defense, the US is Ukraine’s largest donor. From 2014 to 2019, Ukraine received $376 million worth of equipment. It included communications equipment, cybersecurity means, medical equipment, night vision devices, Javelin anti-tank missile systems (ATGMs), HMMWV armored vehicles (known as Hummers), two Island-type ships, high-speed boats, and various spare parts.
“We do not receive aid in the form of funds from our partners but rather in the form of equipment and services,” the Main Directorate of Military Cooperation and Peacekeeping Operations in the General Staff of the Armed Forces specified.
