Western experts were wrong: Is Counteroffensive 2.0 possible

The West was wrong to claim that Ukraine was capable for a successful counteroffensive under the current conditions. And when "things didn't go according to plan", citing The Washington Post, it seemed that the country has undergone an experiment.

This was stated by Ivan Stupak, a military expert, on the air of Apostrophe TV.

"Let's assume that the West built mathematical models with the assistance of artificial intelligence and came to the conclusion that our Defense Forces can attack in situation when they don't have chances for succeed. They didn't take into account, among other things, the minefields and Russian fortifications, which, as it turned out, were multi-level and went two "floors" deep. Many factors that had an impact were beyond detailed analysis," he explained.

Stupak emphasized that in the current realities, a second counteroffensive is unlikely. The war in Ukraine for other countries is already moving to the background and there are no more queues to military recruitment centers.

"There is no such motivation as in the first months and, most importantly, it is already 'peacetime' for some officials to spend large sums on stadiums, playgrounds - such and other factors make the next counter-offensive a challenge," the military expert summarized.
