First Russian "Shahed"- 238 with a jet engine was shot down in Ukraine: why this drone is dangerous, photos

The first "Shahed"-238 with a jet engine was shot down on Ukrainian territory. The Air Defense Forces will now need MANPADS to destroy this UAV.

This was reported by Ukrainian military communications, electronic warfare and intelligence specialist Serhiy "Flash" Bezkrestnov.

According to him, the UAV flew to the middle of the country. The drone was moving with a speed of more than 500 km / h. The UAV's engine was made in China.

The specialist notes that with a jet engine UAVs can fly all over the country. Because of the high speed, he believes, it is necessary to use man-portable air defense systems (Osa, Igla, Stinger) to shoot down drones.

"They will fly to us faster, and maneuver faster too. Ukrainians should know that, apart from the sound of a 'moped' in the sky, there is now the sound of an airplane," Serhiy "Flash" Bezkrestnov noted.
