Russians changed tactics of air attacks: enemy's devious plan is revealed

Russians started to change the tactics of launching drones and missiles to inflict maximum damage to Ukrainian cities.

Natalia Gumenyuk, the Head of the Joint Coordination Press Center of the Defense Forces of Southern Ukraine told this on air of "Apostrophe" TV.

According to her, the occupants began to launch drones from the waters of the Black Sea less often. When those "come in for a strike", they try to maneuver between populated areas - over residential buildings, industrial facilities, infrastructure objects.

"If we take one of the extreme attacks on Odesa, people recorded the maneuvering of "Shaheds" between high-rise buildings both in the acoustic sense and visually in in a city of millions. The damage in such conditions is extremely heavy. That's why there are such cases, when the debris caused very significant damage, when the already shot down "Shahed" still destroys buildings and kills people," - said Humenyuk.

In addition, Russians launch "Shaheds" in several groups and several waves. This is done in order to study the work of Air Defense and counter them with the next wave. Despite everything, the Ukrainian Air Defense manages to shoot down enemy targets.

The Head of the Joint Coordination Press Center of the Defense Forces of Southern Ukraine explained that the launching of "Shaheds" in large and small batches" could also be aimed at identifying and exhausting air defense systems.

Gumenyuk said that for several days there were no enemy aircraft in the airspace at all, including in the temporarily occupied Kherson Region, from where the launches of guided aerial bombs (GABs) took place. A few days ago, Russians did enter the boundary and began looking for a new launch point in order to guard their aircraft.

"We are seeing a change in behavior in that one aircraft is now launching GABs while the other is engaged in covering it. The number of GABs has also critically decreased. Whereas it used to be 20 to 80 or more GABs per day, in the past 24 hours we are recording seven guided bombs that flew on the right bank. We continue our combat work to reduce and generally stop the bombing of frontline territories," the colonel summarized.
