The vast majority of Ukrainians trust ATO/JFO veterans and the military who are currently defending Ukraine from the enemy. Moreover, the level of respect for them in society remains high.
Such data were published by the sociological group "Rating".
According to the nationwide poll, 96% of our citizens trust both the veterans of the war in Donbas and the military who are currently defending Ukraine from the Russian invasion. The level of respect for them is 76%.
More than half, i.e. 55% of the respondents answered that they have people in their circle who took part in hostilities from 2014 to 2021. And 70% of respondents have relatives who are fighting or have been fighting since the beginning of the full-scale invasion.
However, only 25% believe that the state properly fulfills its obligations to veterans, while more than 60% have a completely opposite view.
56% of respondents believe they are aware of the problems of veterans, 42% are not aware of their needs. The highest number of the latter was recorded among residents of the eastern regions, older people, and women.
The poll of 1,000 respondents was conducted in early March via telephone interviews using a computer in all regions, except for the temporarily occupied territories of Crimea and Donbas, as well as areas where there was no Ukrainian mobile communication at the time of the survey.
As a reminder, according to a February poll by the Razumkov Center, 95% of Ukrainians most often expressed confidence in the Armed Forces.
